I just watched it again. What a load of bollocks.
It's obviously intersected with animated CGI faces! lol.

Also, not sure if anyone has even watched it but at 2.33 he says "equilavent" instead of equivalent! I stopped listening after that, and I just happened to come across it as I was fast forwarding.

Utter nonsense clickbait dross.

You do realise who the OP is, so should be no surprise.

The singularity won't come about because of "human programmers", AI will be the one writing its own code that leads to the singularity.
What the fuck is a singularity and how is it relevant to AI, did you hear that in a movie once?
If one is going to discuss a topic, one should at least be knowledgeable or open to learning about said topic.
The willingness of some people to remain ignorant when a simple Google Search and a minute reading would bring them up to speed with something they aren't sure about in a discussion they are taking part in is astounding.

I think that is the point I was making. People are too quick to take things at face value, like this click baitey video. Plus you have failed to even answer any of my questions, so off you pop to Google, but I warn you I have a BsC hons in computer science so I do know a little but about this subject.

Also, unless you actually say "one" when speaking face to face don't try and be a smart arse when using it online. It only makes you look like a huge pompous cock. One is not the Royal family.

Given the technological singularity has been known about and discussed for decades I am surprised you were unaware of its existence. Given, as you say, you have a bachelors degree in computer science.

Also, I was not attempting to answer your questions and my clipped quote of your post should have been sufficient to let you know I was simply questioning your logic behind the statement "AI is only as good as its human programmer". Maybe you skipped class that day?

Neural AI learning.

Not pre programmed to do flips.

Learns to do by watching. Similar to human learning.
Yes, and an hour after publishing the video (folding t-shirts) and people started to take it apart, they had to admit, that it was remote controlled by an operator 2m beside it
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

Computer learning by watching is exactly how humans learn. The actual baseline code isn’t so much. The AI writes itself based on how much experience it has. It’s then transferable to other situations and contexts. Just like people.

The theoretical problem is, what happens when the world changes? And all the information to form that learning becomes outdated?

In the 1800s, everyone knew everything about horses. How to ride a horse, care for, operate a wagon or buggy. Now that knowledge is irrelevant. What’s needed now is how to ride a motorcycle or drive a car.

Older people don’t do so well as the new generation. Will this be true of AI?
