Well what the member of the forum who are into gaming think about the possibility of doing VR gaming in a game center ? Personally I would go.
I suppose some would argue that asking StroppyChop to let them play on his DK1 is enough but as mentioned he do not have the equipment necessary for serious gaming and some could have some issue about the environment.
Well man just remove the olds pizza box from one chair and sit. You want something to drink ? I have everything you want, cold beer, not so cold beer and even warm beer if you are into this.

Seriously the economic on this issue seems sound (but having the input of OD would be nice)
- You need powerfull computer but if the OP open a game center he will need gaming computer anyway and can negotiate the price
- You need to configure the computer to be able to use it, lot of user are not able or willing to spend 2 hours to find the way of configuring a game (each game is different, this is not by fare a plug and play solution)
- The DK2 is not very expensive in itself 350$
- No gaming center in PP to my knowledge have it
- Even when the device become consumer ready you will still need a powerful computer for running it (you look at a 2000$ computer minimum without the screen or oculus). Meaning that for most user the gaming solution would still be the only solution.

For the serious gamer on the forum, who is willing to spend 2000$ for a DK2 now and close to 3000$ ( or around 600$ for upgrading) for the consumer version in one years ?

What resolution do the latest console games run on? I upgraded my TV when I bought my PS3 but wouldn't bother upgrading again.

for what I understand 4k display are not such an improvement compare to full HD. unless you take a very big screen and site very close to it.

Your comment about my environment piqued my interest so I had a quick look at your total forum posts on CEO. You're an unusual little individual, aren't you?

Easy - because you're not half the troll you think you are. It took me about two minutes to skim your posts, given how little actual content you've contributed over time.

Ok guys thanks for the feedback, the Oculus Rift is definitely a great idea and we are looking into it right now. We have already found a place on street 55 where it will be. We need 1-2 months to setup everything and get proper government licenses. We are aiming at 20 PCs, 1 private console room and 1 public console room (4-5 PS4s and Xboxes), and 1 Oculus Rift. For PC games, we will have CS:Go, Starcraft 2, TF2, LoL, Dota2 and many more. For consoles we will get most popular titles like GTA5 and Fifa, if you have any tips on games let us know anytime and we can get them.

There is one place in BKK1 that has console rooms ($10-15 per hour for room, which is kinda expensive). We will also sell original console and PC games at the location. If everything goes well, we should be open by March 1st. If you have any suggestions or tips let me know!

Did you by any chance try to open a similar place a year ago or so? Or is this your first try?

if you go for 20 pc I would say that you need at least 2 rift.
The price is quite cheap compare to the pc you need to obtain good performance. For the DK2 you need at least a 1500$ pc to obtain good spec, when the consumer version become available it will be more 2000$ and up.
if you look at video of people using it on YouTube you will see that it will most probably not stay unused. :D

questions : can you have it deliver safely in Cambodia?

In all case if you have one count me as a customer ( not for 2D game though)
