Or just cause hysteria by saying there’s a killer virus, whilst they go on about their merry business of doing what they do.

I wouldn’t want to be an Indian in China, or Cambodia for that matter.

I think that's great. With a little bit of engineering, the West can position India to take on China. With a little bit of luck, we can just relax and watch how they solve each other's overpopulation problem.

That's a very cynical way to look at things, but I get it, there is a lot to be cynical about. Hoping war is not how overpopulation will be solved; throughout human history it unfortunately has been one of the big methods of population control, but I'd like to dream we are past those days.

Don't know how well the science was thought out on films like "on the beach", but it's a safe bet that any nuclear fallout would affect us all.
