Re: Chat GPT signing up issue
A few things to try...
1. Try Singapore, as it's a country that seems to not require a phone number for a lot of accounts. You could also try other random countries.
2. I'm not sure it ALWAYS requires a phone number to sign up, so maybe try some other IP addresses through your VPN.
3. Sign up for Poe AI through your phone. It gives you numerous AI engines to choose from, including several from OpenAI. I don't think they require you to be in any specific countries. I think it even gives you GPT4 for free, but only one prompt a day or something.
Are you planning to pay for ChatGPT Plus or are you only interested in using their API (pay as you go through a third party)?
***And make sure you're using a private browser window each time you attempt to sign up.

Re: Chat GPT signing up issue
I just use the Bing or Google Bard. That will do, I don't want to ask it deep and meaningful questions. And I'm definitely not signing up for any more phone apps, I'm in the app uninstall business these days.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 7:59 am A few things to try...

Talking of suspect apps, , I was looking to book a flight with Lanmei Airlines and their website is weird to say the least. Their website was previously so bad as to be useless. However, their new site it even more odd. Not only do they feel the need to make a statement that you are on their official site, but if you try to make even a search, let alone a booking, you have to download their app! Fuck that...

Chatgtp is officially supported in Cambodia now. No need to do any of those steps anymoremi1 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 12:02 pm 1) EU phone number
2) EU credit card (ABA credit cart is always decline)
3) EU VPN
This is what i used to get access to GPT 4. U need switch to VPN just to login/signup and then can use for few weeks without VPN.
As for me all other alternatives are not as good as GPT 4

Another option is to use poe.com, which lets you access ChatGPT and other AIs on a web browser or their Android app.
Re: Chat GPT signing up issue
There is also a fairly amazing app now which allows you to have pretty fluent and natural spoken conversations with it. I'm blown away by how natural the responses sound. It's the stuff of science fiction if you ask me. The kind of thing we've been promised since we were kids but never thought would happen.
It definitely has 2001 HAL vibes to it.

Never tried Chat-whatever. Never will . . .
Like Google assistant, it is simply designed to make everyone into a stupid fuck-wit who can no longer read or write. That outcome is of course to the advantage of employers, owners, billionaires and nobody else.
Certainly, Chat-whatever will make intelligence unnecessary in too many workplaces and as a consequence, a vast army of sub-literate dimwits will replace genuinely creative people. These morons will only need to ask the AIs to perform "creative" tasks and it won't matter if these dull operators can comprehend the output or whether they can tell the difference between Chat-whatever and the work of a real living, breathing imagination...
In fact, we already see the dominance of "genre" commercial fiction in the marketplace... It is a small next step to ask robots to write crappy dross instead of living dummies like Jim Patterson and Stephen King...
Totally don't want anything to do with AI helpers.
However, that's not to say that there are not plenty of very useful applications for computational AI like managing practical logistical tasks and minimizing hazards (air traffic control) and maximizing personal and corporate profits.
Brain and heart surgery robots will one day free doctors to do research and feel free to waste their spare time with expensive but unemployable college girls ...

I think you have that upside-down. Smart people have a much higher productivity gain than dimwits when using AI assistants. So it's much more likely that someone who's currently a team leader will have a smaller team (dimwits out), plus AI assistants.orichá wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:14 pm Never tried Chat-whatever. Nope, you're wrong, at least according to "studies" reported in The Economist earlier this month:Alex wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:56 pmorichá wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:14 pm Never tried Chat-whatever. Never will . . .
