I'm using Deep Freeze Standard from last 7-8 years. I recommend it several times.

But I never faced such kind of issue. Could you please share more details about it? I'm very excited to know.

Were you connect with their support team regarding this issue? They help me a lot whenever I face any issue.

Thanks,
Ali Moore
Hi Alimoore,
what I found out is, that it is a quite sophisticated stealth virus originating from China (Win32 modification) which writes directly into the kernel when computer is in a frozen state. I have contacted Faronics several times about this but they say (or have to say) that this is not possible. I know that it is possible and that it happens and I have heard from others that have the same problem. I think that Faronics will address this problem in one of their next updates (well, at least I hope so)

How much did you pay for this snake oil?
Yeah... I'm with you on this. Why not just use a non admin account?
OD, because Deep Freeze does much more than a non admin account. With a simple non admin account you cannot achieve that what Deep Freeze is doing....impossible.

Just download the 30-day free trial and see what that thing is actually doing...you'll be surprised.

It's also very easy to uninstall, so don't you worry.

A couple of decades ago a friend designed and produced prototypes for a hardware/software AV solution that worked on "last good known state" configuration. I'm not sure where the link is, but Coca-Cola actually held the invention up in patents for many years after my friend and his partner refused a buyout offer. I have always been curious about why CCA would be interested in something like that.

Yeah well, everybody has different needs and desires. Perhaps we are going to talk about this again once somebody or something has fucked up your MBR ;)

Stroppy, I got no clue what you are talking about (I don't speak kangaroo ;) ) but just for the record - MBR = Master Boot Record.

We should open a new thread with the title: "How to make Stroppy talk in full and clear sentences"
