Hi Alimoore,
what I found out is, that it is a quite sophisticated stealth virus originating from China (Win32 modification) which writes directly into the kernel when computer is in a frozen state. I have contacted Faronics several times about this but they say (or have to say) that this is not possible. I know that it is possible and that it happens and I have heard from others that have the same problem. I think that Faronics will address this problem in one of their next updates (well, at least I hope so)

OD, because Deep Freeze does much more than a non admin account. With a simple non admin account you cannot achieve that what Deep Freeze is doing....impossible.

A couple of decades ago a friend designed and produced prototypes for a hardware/software AV solution that worked on "last good known state" configuration. I'm not sure where the link is, but Coca-Cola actually held the invention up in patents for many years after my friend and his partner refused a buyout offer. I have always been curious about why CCA would be interested in something like that.
