If you're asking this question, then I suspect you have no idea on tuna runs...........Fridaywithmateo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 8:45 am Anybody interested in a tuna run?

Re: Game fishing Cambodia
The fish have highest fat just before the water gets cold. Not sure how the temps vary round these parts.Fridaywithmateo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:16 amBorn-Confused wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:52 pmIf you're asking this question, then I suspect you have no idea on tuna runs...........Fridaywithmateo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 8:45 am Anybody interested in a tuna run?

I've successfully trolled Mackerel off the coast of Koh Kong province around the turn of the century.
You might also get a Barra in that area too.
As for real game fishing, I'm pretty sure there's not much in the way of big fish in the Gulf of Thailand.
According to the website linked below, you can get Black Marlin, Sailfish and more on the West side of Thailand. @phuketrichard might know.

As for tuna, try aisle 4 at Lucky supermarket.

Yep ... but that meat is usually from fish farms ... totally different quality vs wild caught ... and there is a thing known as "brain spike" ... If you don't do that, the meat taste not premium.Username Taken wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:46 am I've successfully trolled Mackerel off the coast of Koh Kong province around the turn of the century.

"Shinkei-jime is the Japanese's tradition of inserting a spike into the hind brain and destroying the spinal cord. Doing so would stop the production of lactic acid, and in turn the quality of the fish can be maintained."
