A bronze medal for Cambodia.

André Ka Loses To The Philippines
André Ka, a French Cambodian tennis player lost her chance of winning a gold medal of the 29th Sea Games in Malaysia after failing to beat Anna Clarice Patrimonio from the Philippines in the semi-final.
Both sets were on tie-break, however, the Filipino player won the match. André Ka had beaten the opponents from Vietnam, Si Boi Ngoc by 6-1,6-1 and Aslina Chua from Malaysia by 6-0, 6-3 in the quarter-final. She won a bronze medal despite the disappointment that she had lost to the Philippines.

Gold for Cambodia !

25 August 2017
Cambodia finally won a gold medal at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games when the women’s petanque doubles team of Ke Leng and Ouk Sreymom defeated their Thai counterparts Phantipha Wongchuvej and Pataratida Meepak 13-10 yesterday.

“We were confident as we knew [from the group stage] that we could beat them,” said an emotional Sreymom minutes after the victory.

“Of course we are happy to bring back a gold medal for the country.”

Earlier, Leng and Sreymom beat Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia for a shot at gold.

As of yesterday evening, Cambodia have garnered six medals – one gold and five bronze.

Results for Cambodia's team are disappointing so far, but it's not over yet.

- Cambodian boxers have been decidedly unsuccessful at the ongoing SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur and have as yet failed to match the silver medal won by Ratha Ven at the 2015 games in Singapore.
Also yesterday, Cambodian boxer Felix Marlin Beaten was defeated by his Filipino opponent in the men’s 84kg event.

Elsewhere in Phnom Penh, the Cambodian equestrian team of Ly Sovanachandara, Lon Sopheakra, Sim Narith, Phay Visal and Moeng Sochea touched down at Phnom Penh International Airport yesterday with an equestrian bronze medal from the SEA Games in the 80km team endurance competition on Sunday.
Meanwhile, in the tennis Our Sarith and Long Samneang fell 6-1 6-2 to Indonesia...

Taekwondo bronze medal
28 August 2017
Cambodia’s Texas-born taekwondo fighter Casandre Nicole Tubbs won a bronze medal at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games yesterday, increasing the kingdom’s medal tally to 10 ahead of teammate Sorn Seavmey’s big entrance tomorrow.

Tubbs, competing in the women’s under 57kg event, was unable to find a way past Benjarat Yangtrakul of Thailand, ultimately settling for a bronze medal.

Tubbs has previously found success on the taekwondo circuit, winning gold medals at the 2013 US Open and the 2013 German Open, a silver at the 2015 Spanish Open and a bronze at the 2015 Pan American Championships.

Tubbs was representing the country of her mother’s birth...

,Good for her. Unfortunately, I didn't see the match, but the judge's score leaves no doubt she won a well deserved victory. I hope she will be richly rewarded for the sacrifices she made in her life to bestow honor on herself and her country as well. Talent and hard work put the gold around her neck, not corruption and not connections.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.
