Re: Indian tourists
I've both been to India myself and hung out with Indians in Cambodia. Most (not all) of them see themselves as highly important, gracing the rest of the world with a visit from the superior-and-most-amazing-in-every-way country of India. India has the biggest and best everything, always just a bit b...

Re: Patient Complains About Lack of Covid-19 Precautions in Calmette Hospital
Just been to Calmette Hospital. The article is not true. Calmette does their best to separate patients and demand the wearing of muzzles as a condition of entry. All ridiculous in a country where there is no coronavirus but there it is. They are in a difficult situation as they are swamped with pat...

Re: Patient Complains About Lack of Covid-19 Precautions in Calmette Hospital
What total nonsense. There is no coronavirus in Cambodia. Nobody is sick. Nobody has died. Is there one member here who knows a single person in Cambodia who has had coronavirus? No there is not. I was in the waiting room at Calmette a month ago. Everybody was wearing a mask. I still caught a cold ...

Re: Vaccines
It's all very impressive once you take your tin-foil hat off and read up on the actual science behind this vaccine. How dare you, I went to the Facebook Karen School of Medical Science and hence know more than all the doctors and scientists. You get out of here with your "actual science" ...

Best way to send money from Cambodia to US?
My fiance has ABA bank. If he comes to the US, he will bring several thousand dollars with him. I know that you can bring <$10k in without declaring it. We don't think it's a good option to travel with cash. Have any of you transferred money to the US and which method is the best?

Re: Alternator
On a scooter the alternator is called the stator. It runs through a regulator(rectifier). The stator gets electrical excitement from the flywheel(rotor). Similar to a car, it produces higher voltage when running. If you have a new battery but it’s still not getting charged, it’s likely the stator. I...

Re: What have you learnt from Cambodians that you do?
Squatting instead of sitting in a chair. Especially handy if I’m working on something close to the ground. The bum gun. Can’t believe it took me so many years to discover this, but as an American it’s just not something we’re exposed to. TP seems so primitive now. Sharing. Bringing fruit/snacks to a...

Re: ANY INFO ON THIS GIRL?
I have my passport sorry for misleading, she returned that when i re paid her. She had some corroborating info on the family but after hours of looking up stuff I see that the connection may be just a lot of photo shopped pics on facebook. I detested her and her Khmer elite ways much like a student...

Re: In the north of Cambodia by scooter. :)
I did a lot of Cambodia on a Honda Click. I got a lot of shit from the macho motorcycle expat community for not buying a huge macho bike and being as cool as them. I did mountain roads and dirt roads and villages and even rode it in the woods. I wanted to do as the locals do in as many ways as poss...
