Maybe I know some of them - but I won't go on FB - no no no.

Re: 4 places to visit in Kep And Kampot

Thx Samouth. $25 a night is quite expensive, but at least you had a good time. $25 for a bad time is a rip-off :D In Kampot I usually stay at Orchid Guesthouse - $10-15 - opposite Blissful. They have some great bungalows out the back over a lily pond and the owner Tuon is a really nice guy. When I l...

Alcohol is not compatible with buddhism. Where do you get that from? Not Cambodia anyway :Search: Alcohol is available all over Burma and elsewhere; just do a search for for all the "Buddha bars" in SEA buddhist countries. http://www.thaisabai.org/2014/05/happy-buddha-bar-ban-dung/ http:/...

Re: What do explats dislike about Khmer culture?

One thing that really bugs me about Khmer culture is that I can never get those hand movements right when I dance khmer-style... or only when I've had too much to drink, and or at least drank enough so I believe them when Khmers tell me I'm dancing good :Yahoo!: Photos (and preferably video) or it'...

Drinking beer with a friend in Cambodia while fully clothed? This seems about as good as it gets these days.
Yeah better not die drinking beer while naked in SA ...there are harsh penalties.

Re: Kicking the habit

Have you tried switching to cigars? You end up smoking less, and there's a good argument that they're less harmful - especially if you gradually move to not fully inhaling. Yes, strange as it may seem - if you feel like you've got to smoke something, a couple of chugs on a cigar can ease the pangs ...

Re: Unidentified Foreigner Dies on Street 172 While Eating

Yeah, I was there too, but didn't go for a look or take photos/selfies. (Sorry General. I know you would have liked a CEO exclusive.)

From what I heard he went out enjoying himself to the full. RIP.

(And isn't it better to croak in the middle of St 172 than alone in your room watching TV ?)
