Re: Will they know what Double Lines mean?

Sigmoid is right. Driving between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, overtaking on double lines was more the rule than the exception.

Re: Is there any place, where you can buy/do a rapid antigen test?

There is quite a big range available on Indiamart at pretty low prices. Some are nasal swab, some are blood tests. Most of them require a health professional to administer but perhaps you could consider hiring a nurse for the day to administer them. You do not need a licence to import medical suppli...

Re: £50 for Alan Turing

Ok I stand corrected and apologise for my mistake. I do these conversions every day and it never occurred to me that you would convert an entire number to binary. There are plenty of people smarter than me out there.

Re: £50 for Alan Turing

It’s not done digit by digit, the whole number is his birthday in YYYYMMDD format. You are right, Binary number 1001000111100000111101111 equals 19120623. No it does not. Your binary is a little rusty - 10 = 2 not 11. However it is possible to arrive at the date by scrambling the date and varying t...

For all of you under 60, don't worry. The over 60s have no response either.

Re: Siem Reap schools to be closed for two weeks

most of the rest of the world has seen the virus spread exponentially, as you'd expect in cambodia it hasn't even been arithmetic, we've see a consistent 30-50 cases a day it could be the lockdowns, the weather, the outdoor lifestyle, khmer warrior blood, or quite likely spreadsheet superpowers but...

Re: Siem Reap schools to be closed for two weeks

The northwestern part of Siem Reap has been locked down centred on the clinic in Kroline (excuse spelling) Market where the case was identified. The government, having observed that the lockdown in Phnom Penh failed to stop the spread of the virus, are doing the same thing in Siem Reap expecting a d...

Re: ABA Bank ATMs

Sorry never saw your original thread. So it seems to be policy now. Are other banks doing the same do you know? A reason for using USD is that the shops give you a lousy exchange rate and my wallet is always jammed with low-denomination riel.

ABA Bank ATMs

Has anyone noticed that ABA Bank are now stocking their ATMs with only $50 and $100 bills? This is happening in Siem Reap where I have tried many ATMs all over town. Is it the same in Phnom Penh and elsewhere? I also noticed that Prasac only had $100 bills but this may just have been the one ATM and...

No and yes. But now they give you 2 days for the price of one. Angkor is not entirely deserted - Khmer people still go there.
