Re: Headlines Burma ( yes Aung san says you can say Burma)

An American artist David Richards who spent most of his last 10 years in Myanmar, witnessing the transition to democracy and then the coup that ended it, has returned to Phnom Penh, where he lived previously, and spoke with The Diplomat’s Luke Hunt about life in Myanmar post-coup, the tragedies of t...

Re: Import a car.

Why hasn't anyone run with the "why on Earth would you want to import a car to Cambodia?" angle yet? Seriously, just don't do it - so many threads on this. If you love your car so much, you wouldn't dream of bringing it here (my situation), the cost is prohibitive, nobody here knows how t...

Also, it’s one thing to cross the border by land, but can their airports handle that kind of traffic? Can you pleas...

Re: Will guns ever be outlawed in America

Logically, is someone uses a gun to commit a crime, that person is responsible for their crime and should be punished for it. The conclusion that millions of law-abiding citizens should be punished as a result of this person's crime is illogical. Recent mass shootings in Europe (Denmark and Norway) ...

You should maybe post in the "VIP Nightlife" Invite only section (contact an Admin for approval) where people can discuss the more seedy aspects of the after dark scene: https://cambodiaexpatsonline.com/vip-nightlife/ Also, Hanoi, and Vietnam in general, is a bit of an odd choice for what ...

Re: Laos Is on the Brink of Bankruptcy

The Kip is all over the place, over 20,000 kip to $1 last week, down to 15,000 kip, now back up to 17,000 kip. Food and drink has jumped in price - by about 30%. The situation sounds serious but how bad is it really? Are you planning an exit or will you just ride it out? I experienced Thailand's cu...
