Re: Living in deepest darkest rural Cambodia

How is that narcissistic? Regarding fiction writing I gave some advice as it used to be my job for about 15 years and was told the advice was bollocks so I backed up my claim. If, let’s say I were a central heating engineer, and l posted advice and someone said I was talking shit I would have said “...

He was a total nutter though and used to say strange things like 'You know what I like to do in the holidays, Seawolf? I like to fuck horses!!' He also used to go into the local to...

Now you publish on CEO with the rest of us amateurs. My apologies cinnamoncat.

Re: Living in deepest darkest rural Cambodia

There is a lot of waffle about writing, an example is Story by Robert McKee which makes it sound so complicated. Its really quite simple. Follow a 3 act structure: SET UP CONFRONTATION RESOLUTION Use Plot Points. Make a simple event by event plan and put it on post it notes on a wall so you can move...

And you didn't like Greta Thunberg because she was "self promotional."
This is in context. I gave someone some sound advice how to finish a novel and was told I didn't know what I was talking about (by an amateur) when I spent 15 years working as a writer. It was my profession.

Re: Living in deepest darkest rural Cambodia

Other days just give up, Don't do this. You will wait for a muse that will never come. Completing a novel or screenplay is about hard graft. The old 5% inspiration 95% perspiration is true here. If you cant do a 1000 words a day do 500 words, do 300 words but do a set amount of words every day and ...
