Re: News on Vietnam visas ?
Looks like not many people are using them. People prefer Cambodia and Thailand for more fun, comfort and relaxation. Who's going to travel all that way to sit in an open-air "restaurant" seen in this article? Where have all the tourists gone? Vietnam's tourist numbers remain low as critici...

Re: Pirate Bay Co-founder Gottfrid Svartholm/Anakata Release

Has anyone done this trip or heard anything about it? Would be interested to hear personal experiences if this is real...

Re: Govt orders great firewall of Thailand
what about a scenario that when the big event occurs those in power fail to make it public immediately ( maybe for months ) because it didn't suit them to do so? I mean how would anybody know otherwise? Well, it's certainly possible and there may be rumors to that effect, but the main point is that...

Re: Deportation
The problem with this extremely well-worn cliche is that these days virtually all pots and kettles are made of stainless steel and are thus basically silver-coloured.That's a pot calling a kettle black.

Also, one has to wonder why the Thais can't follow the example of King Sihanouk and arrange for the succession to take place before the passing.

a lot of unhappy expats now in Thailand regarding this issue Well, it should be obvious by now that, other than trying to keep up appearances and prevent the economy from completely collapsing, everything the junta is doing, has been doing and will be doing is focused on one thing and one thing onl...
