From the Qld library. A Better Place by Stephen Daisley. Stunning book about combat by the kiwis in Crete, Sicily and Italy. And the return home to NZ by damaged men trying to recover their lives. Really good book.

This is true, they use massive amounts of water. Far more than any other crop. California is a disaster because of them. Parts of cambodia would have a much higher water table so less irrigation required.
