Re: Holland America Cruise Ship to Dock at Sihanoukville
The cruise ship docked in Japan keeps seeing more passengers infected each day. Even being locked up in your room hasn't offered the protection expected. So the question is where is the virus coming from? Food or aircon 2 likely sources. Its clear on cruise ships it's especially difficult to control...

Re: Holland America Cruise Ship to Dock at Sihanoukville
The ship was believed to be free of the virus but an 83-year-old American woman from it tested positive upon arriving in Malaysia, authorities there said, adding that a second test, at the request of the cruise operator, confirmed the finding.

Re: Holland America Cruise Ship to Dock at Sihanoukville
You can bet retired folk who make up a large percentage of the passengers on cruise ships stop booking a place on Asian cruises. Those cruise ships moving around asia at the moment will have likely started their cruise in the South Pacific before virus outbreak. If you board a cruise ship anytime so...

Re: Holland America Cruise Ship to Dock at Sihanoukville
I suspect many will be further checked on arrival back in their homeland.
Its good that this situation has been resolved.
The cruise ship business in Asia is pretty much finished in the short term sadly. Quite a financial blow for cruise ship lines and their crews.

Re: Outbreak of Unidentified Coronavirus In China as New Year Approaches
'Clinical diagnosis' involves no virus test kit ( likely short supply) but a CT scan. If it shows lower lung has fluid build up then then they suspect they are infected with the virus.
This is a new category.
Likely kits are in short supply so this is the next best thing.

Re: Holland America Cruise Ship to Dock at Sihanoukville
Raises the issue of testing anyone getting off the ship. Has Cambodia got enough testing kits? I guess a few questions on how they are feeling and a temperature check and its off to see the sights! ( God won't they be disappointed)
Prevention is better than cure!!!!!!
