Re: PM seeks ban on water gun games during KNY after foreign tourist injured
Kids wanted to go to Wat Phnom yesterday, and as much as I hate crowds and overly loud music played on shitty sound systems, my kids happiness is paramount. Within minutes of leaving Takhmau in a tuk-tuk, we were soaked through by people throwing water/shooting water guns. I.thought I was going to ...

Re: 5 dead in stabbing rampage Sydney
Not something you typically associate Australia with - London, definitely, but not Australia. Then again, you could have said the same about that shooting rampage in NZ a few years back.
RIP to the victims.

Phnom Penh Air Quality
I guess Cambodians have bigger fish to fry than air pollution and air quality, but I do understand why so many people wear masks, especially out on the roads. I have a pretty bog standard metal framed clothes hanger/dryer which lives on my balcony, and I use every week to hang my washing on to dry. ...

Re: trump in Bangkok
As funny as this is, it's another example of the type of world we're heading towards. One where it will be impossible to distinguish truth from fiction on any level, through any medium or for any reason, which for me, is a pretty scary world to be living in. At the moment, we can still usually disti...

Re: ACE School's Michael Strahan (Teacher Michael in Cambodia) Admits to Grooming Underage Student in Cambodia
https://files.catbox.moe/dbyygs.jpg Please don't think for a minute that I'm defending the fat Pennywise, but given that the this picture says it comes from an account called "theothermichaelstrahan", doesn't that indicate it's a parody account? I'm not very clued up on these things. Or i...

Re: UK pension reciprocal agreement or not...
I know someone who barely paid a penny in tax for their entire working life. (working in the UK) Always self employed, somehow stayed under the radar for his entire career, and he seemed to just disappear from the books. When it came to him retiring and having to claim a pension, he was clearly worr...

Re: It's going to be hot this afternoon in Phnom Penh
The heat can get too much sometimes but it’s the water that gets me the most. I like an afternoon shower but sometimes the heat of the ‘cold’ water is unbearable. I have to let the shower run for about 5 minutes before I can even put my hand in it.

Re: Scott Jameson, English-Teaching Magician in Cambodia, Arrested by FBI for Child Pornography
I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I'm certain that one of the main reasons these people get off with light sentences is because half of the judiciary are nonces themselves. There was a big scandal many years ago in Belgium, it's difficult to find information about it online now, but a huge ...

Re: Operation to inspect the residences of foreigners
I used to get visits like this quite frequently when I lived in a condo, but as I was never there, they often just dealt with my landlord and I would just give him my documents for when they came back. They did come once when a friend was there, they asked to see me and when he told them I wasn't th...
