Re: Is nightlife dying in Cambodia?

I've heard of the containers bars in Thailand but haven't been to one. Do people dance? Is the music at a level where you can talk to people?

Why has agoda decided to post an ad on a video of a kid getting kicked?

Re: Tonle Bati, Oudong Mountain, or.......?

It's an easy drive down Highway 21 on the west side of the Bassac to Phnom Sa Ang. A lovely little hill top temple in magnificent farmland. Guaranteed no tourists. Or a taxi to Takeo and a speedboat ride to Phnom Da, depending on water levels. In the wet season it is the best experience in Cambodia...

Re: Who's Your Favorite Comedian??

Ricky Gervais is probably my favorite at the moment. I like that he'll go places others won't, but his intentions are not usually malicious and he's quite principled when you hear him discuss his rationale. I hope he gets invited back to do the Golden Globes one more time. Recently I've been watchin...

Re: Battambang as a tourist destination?

Kinyei, just around the corner from the central market, is a great place for coffee and breakfast. And Jaan Bai in the same alley, which is a training restaurant, has some of the tastiest dishes and cocktails I've had anywhere in Cambodia. A few blocks away there's a little French restaurant which i...

Re: How do you get around town?

Yeah, great revolution, with quirks, but much better than Tuk tuks! Just get Passap, Itsumo, Uber or now Grab, and get going! Only problem are unsure drivers new to maps, haha! I STILL suggest getting a working local to talk to your driver before he sets out. They'll get the straight dope in Khmer....
