Re: Do you need a valid, up to date visa in order to withdraw money from your bank account?

Good question. One of the reports was from someone who went to ABA to receive a moneygram, not to withdraw his cash from his account. They copied his visa and he had to sign it. I wonder if Western Union does this too. That might affect the Nigerian community who sometimes get cash by Western Union...

Re: Let's not talk about cricket

They had some electrical tape and some small bits of grit stuck on it. This was not an angle grinder . Not like Afridi biting the ball or DuPlies using a mint sweet. They did not change the ball so why is it now such a big deal. According to ICC it is no different than running on the pitch or throw...

Re: There's a New World's Longest Flight

I'd be up for that. Once you get yourself in the mindset of a long flight I don't think it makes much difference if it is 12/14/17hrs. I find the mid range short haul ones (4-5 hours) to be a lot worse as the legroom is shocking, normally no food/drink and you are expecting it to go quickly. Also, n...

Re: Cambodia Visa Updates For Expats & Tourists 2018 (Visa On Arrival, Extensions, Retirement Visas, 3/6/12 Months)

Cambodian border/customs will probably need to see both passports when I exit for the border run anyway. The old one will be cancelled, but they'll want to stamp the old visa "used' regardless I would think? Too bad I probably can't go to BKK and apply for my new passport there. edit: maybe I ...

Re: Cambodia Visa Updates For Expats & Tourists 2018 (Visa On Arrival, Extensions, Retirement Visas, 3/6/12 Months)

Took my passport in (A 2 Z Travel) for my EG on Friday, it's still not back. Normally takes 3-4 days, but now taking a week or more, I'm told. MIne took a full 10 days to get back. EG from Lucky Moto (although the stamp was dated at two days after I handed it in). I renewed a month early and got th...

Re: free train ride in Cambodia

It shouldn't be long until they extend it to Battambang and maybe Pursat, as the track there is almost ready to roll again. Will take longer to fix the stretch between Pursat and PP so I wouldn't expect the trains to arrive in PP until closer to the end of the year. I read somewhere (possibly the T...
