i know around the floating villages most kids know how to swim,i mean there front and back yards are the lake:) but the currents are very strong at the moment and even a strong swimmer could have some issues.a 5yo even if able to swim would find the rivers currents just too strong.

Horses for courses,i lived in Thailand for about 2 years before a quick visit to Cambodia,loved Siem Reap so much i sold my business and moved here.not been to Pattaya for 15 years,but i did not like it than:)

also small point but its French managed (well they have the lease)and Khmer owned. Aren't French electrics generally shit too? It's not the same hotel that kid got electrocuted at a few months ago is it? You know, the one who touched a swimming pool light. It's only surprising it doesn't happen mor...

used to be called the Claremont Angkor Hotel,i heard a guest left a mobile phone device being charged up on the bed and she caught fire,i heard the connections they used to charge it was not suitable for the electrical sockets:) sounds like only the one room was damaged so lucky:)

i have had a few boats built here in Cambodia,the cost of timber is the main expense now,boats are very expensive to maintain,the wooden boats need more work and you need to be a jack of all trades to stay in control of the costs,i have staff living on all my boats,last time i was down in SNV there ...
