We need your support, Freelance Interpreter and Translator After having helped a few of my foreign friends dealing with language barrier, pretty much I was their interpreter once they needed something to be done that has to do with Cambodian, government officials who barely could speak English, I ca...

Re: I am just waiting for a mate

I don't think it is a big deal in Cambodia as long as you leave the bar late like 3 or 4 am. I have done that a couple times and was fine. No competent traffic police along the road.

BTW, I love this whole video and the accent is quite funny.

How does thing work in Quebec?

From what I know Quebec is a Canada’s French-Speaking province. No doubt, people there speak French as their first language or a strange French that many people from France would say. However, I believe that they were offered with English lessons at school. So, I wonder if it is fair to say that all...

Re: Khmer vocab help

Hey Taabarang, I was honest with you that i really don't know about the origin of that phrase. I hear it all the time and i can tell what it means but really can't tell the root of the phrase. Also, i have never underestimated you. Your understanding of khmer language is wonderful. Pretty much, you ...

Re: Khmer vocab help

Hang chap houi does indeed mean grocery store, but only in a very limited and somewhat rustic sense. Hang=store/shop, chap=to catch, and houi I believe is from the Chinese meaning I believe kompek Kompok(odds & ends). A very poetic heritage for a mom and pop store. Somewhat the equivalent of th...

Re: Water festival to resume in 2016.

I went once, but will never go again. The whole of the road along the riverside is wall to wall people. On one side they are walking north and the other side walking south. You have little choice but to go with the flow. Pick-pockets all around you. Good place if you want to look at people. If you ...

Re: Cintri says it is owed up to $20M by Phnom Penh residents

Seriously Cintri is not doing a good job keeping the city clean. Almost everywhere you go in the city, you will see a pile up of trashes. BTW, can't really blame them, some Cambodians are really stupid and don't fu*king care about the environment. They just litter everywhere. Come to Phnom Penh aft...
