Re: Crossing into Thailand
You can ask. Worst case scenario, they say no and you go back to Cambodian immigration to cancel your exit stamp. He would not even get the exit stamp. Cambodian immigration are fully aware of the Thai rules. Richard has the only answer - get a Thai visa. Well based on my own experience at land bor...

Re: Expat Youtubers
u live in Cambodia but u'r watching some random bloggers talk about the country?? What’s wrong with that? Just like living on Soi Cowboy does not provide all the beauty Thailand has to offer. I like watching the Russian guy who was raised in an Irish boarding school get settled into his new life in...

Re: Crossing into Thailand
Foreigners from a 3rd country cannot get a border pass. Opinions on whether Thai immigration is "flexible" about the two visa exempt entries per calendar year limit at land borders are mixed. There have been a few reports over the years. It might be as inconsistent as many other things wit...

Re: Is it possible to open a bank account with an annual visa but without a rental contract?
If opening a proper bank account proves difficult without proof of address (I'd still try the ABA head office, they should know their own rules which are posted on their website), you could try getting a Wing wallet. Re: Is it possible to open a bank account with an annual visa but without a rental contract?
I opened my ABA account with just my passport, which at the time had a 6-month extension of stay in it - that was important. No further documentation was required. I did need to provide them with my residential address in Cambodia, but they took my word for it. I had saved it in my phone and showed ...

Re: SERVICE-appartement in DAUN PENH
Perhaps you should have a look at the Sunway Hotel on St.92 facing the US embassy. Now the Sunway have a large panel outside in the parking lot advertizing a section of the hotel as Service Apartment for long term leasing, great area if you like to be away from noise. I MAILED SUNWAY and get a repl...

Re: SERVICE-appartement in DAUN PENH
I have been for several years now in street 144 Seasons residence and I do like it overthere. Paying 600 dollar plus electricity and at walking distance from riverside, next door a Lucky-market and they do 2 cleanings a week, kitchen fully equipped with pots and pans. Does anyone knows a better dea...

Re: Operation Commando Vault 1969
Yes, John. Like many ex servicemen who served their country, and obeyed their lawful commanders, I do reflect on such matters. But hindsight is a wonderful thing. Would you rather such matters never be aired in public? OML In fairness, you did write that dropping those bombs "became fun",...
