Entering+traveling in Cambodia with Vietnam motorbike

A friend of mine still lives in Viet Nam. He's thinking of traveling during the upcoming Tet holiday by riding his motorbike to Ha Tien and crossing into Cambodia with it from there. Does anyone have any up-to-date info or experience about doing this? I'm sure all his paperwork, license, etc. are le...

Sure, the cities are dead (though not as dead as they used to be), which makes it a really bad time to be there.
Unless you live in Vũng Tàu, which gets well packed during the extended holiday immediately following the three days of Tết.
At that time, it's a good time to be most anywhere else.

Re: New Year in Cambodia

Tet in Vietnam is great ... flowers everywhere ... just a damn good vibe ... and traffic is a breeze. Every mode of transport is packed to the rafters, ticket prices quadruple, popular destinations are completely overcrowded, and everything is shut down. And the flower markets are BEFORE Tet. Don't...

Well, the whole of Planet Earth is dangerous. People are getting killed all the time. If it's not one thing, it's another. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a8/Leading_cause_of_death_world.png/640px-Leading_cause_of_death_world.png Also, don't forget Motörhead https://youtu.be/L...

Re: ABA App possibly hacked

ABA is incredible convenient. I haven't carried cash now for over a year. Everything is done through ABA. However, never have too much money in the main ABA account that you use. Just keep enough for daily expenses. You can open separate accounts on the app very easily which use different PIN codes...

Or is this another of those wildly sexist posts where we hold men and women to different standards?

Your Mother's Tattoos

Although tattoos have become increasingly more popular and mainstream in recent decades, I'm still a little shocked when I see a family here on holiday with school-aged kids and the mom has a fair number of tattoos. I often wonder how the kids feel about their mom having tattoos. So, did your or doe...

Re: Five Basics

I've been thinking tonight ... many things ... but in particular about religion. There are some great (and wise) religious writings in circulation ... the Quran, Bible, Tora ... and on and on ... what gets to me is the singularity of thought that's born within individuals who are exposed to just on...
