Another oligarch has had his yacht taken away, this time by authorities in Spain. The 85-metre (279ft) superyacht Valerie, worth an estimated £140m, was seized in Barcelona where it has been docked since February. https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/32fc6eb355b649931ca8e3dafa934f16af206107/24_0_3451_207...

Re: Cheap mosquito screen for my door.
We have a wooden door with a handmade/installed screen. The screening costs $25. But its just a handyman that does the work (he did a good job). The $25 included all materials and labor.
But we aren't in PP
But I'd expect the cost should be around the same.

Re: Siem Reap gets $150m makeover
In the city center it may be 100% complete but out where we are they are still working (slowly). There is one road here that they graded in November that is still sitting (I suspect they simply won't pave it). They are outside paving the road here that connects to the by-pass road. I'm hoping they t...

Re: Covid positive
Last year I spoke with a doctor back home in terms of what would be the best "at-home" approach if we happened to catch covid. He told me: 1. Water. Drink a lot of water throughout the day. 2. Continue to eat, small meals throughout the day if you suffer loss of appetite. 3. Continue to ge...

Re: Covid in Cambodia, what do you think the temparature of the water is?
I think things are pretty good. The police made the rounds here three days ago telling folks to get their third shot. Whether that is due to an uptick or surge in cases or simply due to our region getting additional vaccine doses I don't know. High percentage of folks are vaccinated - either though ...

Re: So, what's going on in Siem Reap?
I'm just hoping that they "finish" the work. About 6 weeks ago they stopped working on the roads out where we live and moved all those guys into the town to try to get as much of that done before the new year. One of the Videos showed road towards Wat Damnak into town. But if you take same...

Re: Travel to Cambodia - Pre-Flight COVID-19 PCR Test Requirements
When we flew back last year it was still difficult to get a PCR test in the area of the US and the international travel requirements airlines were using still said 72 hours prior to arrival. I arranged to get a test late afternoon and get the results printed out the same day. We flew from East Coast...

Re: Cambodia to allow quarantine-free entry for travellers from Thailand by air
If I understand Thailand's new requirements, a trip to Thailand would still include 5-6 tests and one night in Thailand waiting for testing results (assuming Cambodia would remove quarantine requirements for incoming travelers but still require testing). So prior to leaving we'd need to get PCR test...
