In Siem Reap i stayed at Sok San Villa.....had a nice little, quiet pool out the back....50c tap beer.
In PP i stayed at Home Chic Hotel (next to Score Bar), nice pool, spend $5 on food drink, swim free. 2 for 1 tap beer.

Seriously, as a former Very Large Expat, don't try and buy clothes here if you're anything more than a true 3XL - get them made. Due to health issues I was a 7XL on arrival (and have since lost the extra 40kg) and so I know the frustration of finding a decent shirt that the neighbours don't ask to ...

Destination advice

Hi
Will be in Kampot for a few days next month, while i'm down that way is it worth checking out the islands, Koh Rong etc for a couple of nights? Or are there too many hippies there these days? Been to S'ville a few times and have no real desire to go back, but never ventured out on the boat.

that's the one! look forward to re-visiting them all when i arrive in August!!! That will be quick as it's just one restaurant on street 51 now. The new Lone Pine was merged with Taqueria Corona and for a while it had both names but now it's just Lone Pine. Confusing, I know, but not as confusing a...

PP has some great Mexican restaurants.....why need the fast food version......Tacos Kokopelli, Cocina Cartel, Viva and another on 51 who's name escapes me.
