Re: UK pension reciprocal agreement or not...
Not necessarily breaking the law. Law is more than half a year makes you resident. If you don't stay anywhere for more than half a year the default will be the country you have "more ties to". This is a grey area. A yearly visa does not imply residency Ah, interesting. I vaguely remember ...

Re: UK pension reciprocal agreement or not...
As long as you realise that I’d guess you are breaking the law by declaring that you are resident in the UK but are in fact living long-term in Cambodia. I found out the hard way that these days countries’ governments share huge amounts of data about tax, foreign residents and pensioners. Sent from ...

Re: Man Gets Major Shock in Phnom Penh's Busy Nightlife Area (Loco Bar on Street 130) in Electrical Accident
I'd like to think that youngwill100 has the sense not to let a random bargirl's brother do amateur electrical work at his bars. Yes, actually he’s done a fair amount of minor electrical work for our bars over the last three years, and without any incidents. He’s been reliable and generally doing go...

Passports and paternity
For a DNA test not only the test has to be 99.9999% reliable, but they also have to establish your identity with a 100% certainty, as well as your kid's before taking the samples. I think that's where the doubt is for HMPO concerning DNA tests from this region. Yes this is very important. I faced t...

Re: Floozys Freelancer Bar on 172
I just don't like ugly American and Euro johns. That's my right, to pity the trashy men these poor Cambodian women have to lay. Actually in most cases the working girls prefer the old fat guys and will quite often refuse the fit young guys. The old guys will be gentle, and all finished in maybe 20 ...

Floozys Freelancer Bar on 172
I realize the rent on bars is high and workers need to eat, etc... But running a freelance establishment still seems a less blatant form of solicitation... Whether or not an establishment has rooms to let just upstairs is entirely irrelevant except to the legal definition of a brothel. (However, an...

Re: Floozys Freelancer Bar on 172
The problem with Phnom Penh when discussing the situation of taking a freelancer to a place where sexual acts can take place is that few if any short term (rooms for hire for 2 hours) hotels exist. There is a huge risk taking a freelancer back to your hotel for a bit of nooky. She might rob you the...
