It's almost like you're being serious.
That increasingly feels like a crime on this forum. Where's the 'delete my account' button?

Re: Cambodia Expatriate Rant of the Day (video)

Does this post gets off the rails, too, like too many others on this forum? (Just like happened to TOF by the way.) I think it's about his rant, not about what freaking tattoos he has and what those might or might not mean. Right?

Re: Cambodia Expatriate Rant of the Day (video)

Thinking about it, I suspect he's having a 'hostel' with beds for 1 hour, totally relying on the whores from around Street 136 to use his 'services'. And now, there's 1 of them spreading the word: "Don't ever go there anymore" for whatever reason (s)he has. In short: threatening his uhm 'b...

Re: Cambodia Expatriate Rant of the Day (video)

Not a Roy “Chubby” Brown fan then I take it.
I have no idea who that is. And I probably don't want to know.

Re: Cambodia Expatriate Rant of the Day (video)

I don't take anyone serious who, whether in real life or on some posted video, feels the need to use the F word after every single normal word they manage to get out. Unfortunately in Cambodia you come across quite a few of these types that cannot form a normal, even short, sentence, without using t...

Re: Flood alert and heavy rains for some provinces.

Well, kudos to the Mekong River Commission. I just emailed them asking about the strange discrepancy between their forecast and the 'near real-time' measurements for Pakse. They replied within 5 minutes , saying the automatic measurement system at Pakse is having a problem, they are aware of it and ...

Re: Flood alert and heavy rains for some provinces.

Forecasting of water levels by Mekong River Commission have to be taken with a grain of salt Well, that proved to be totally correct (I mean the reliability of MRC's forecasting), and much quicker than I expected. Maybe they should stop with it altogether. Something very strange going on with the w...

Re: Flood alert and heavy rains for some provinces.

Something very strange going on with the water level sensor at Pakse (southern Laos). Water level of the Mekong River supposedly dropped from 11.912m (14:15) to 9.604 (14:45) That's a 2.3 METERS drop in half an hour, which seems totally incorrect. Later measurements (15:00 and 15:15) reported around...

Re: Flood alert and heavy rains for some provinces.

And this map explains why it's happening. Heavy rainfall in Laos and northeastern Thailand between 7AM yesterday and 7AM today. Combined with water releases from reservoirs in Thailand.

Re: Flood alert and heavy rains for some provinces.

Forecasting of water levels by Mekong River Commission have to be taken with a grain of salt (they're often not correct), but the fact is that the forecasts for Pakse and Stung Treng have changed drastically compared to yesterday. They expect Pakse to reach flood stage later today and rising further...
