Re: Police..anti corruption.. need help
Be careful with anti corruption, I am in the belief that if you don't get a conviction at the end of it you can get 6 months yourself.

Re: Will Cambodia legalise and tax Cannabis in the KOW ?
i have always believed that some of the financial help Cambodia receive from abroad depends on some values from abroad being seen to be obeyed.
i think a $100/year license to smoke/grow could be a compromise.

Re: Current turnaround time for UK and German(Schengen) visa applications
Only IMHO, the UK is going through many changes, they don't happen often, other than 'home delivery food services' most systems are taking (much)time to adapt. Almost everything from renewing a passport to receiving a tax rebate... or even seeing a doctor.... is now a delayed to a point in time so u...

Re: How did we get here?
Opposing powerful nations require a neutral buffer country between them. Without it the chances of conflict becomes too high. The neutrality of the buffer between NATO and Russia has become insufficient. China v Taiwan, India v Pakistan, Iran v a few , are all probably watching closely, possibly eve...

Re: Traveling in Times of Coronavirus
I had 7 cancelled flights either side of mine on the information board at bkk, unsure how to add photos here. I expect different ways into the country to open and close often in tandem with the insecurities of the various governments involved. My return flight is via Singapore rather than BKK ( I di...

Re: Traveling in Times of Coronavirus
A very quick update, I'm now %99 sure the phone call about quarantine is/was an attempted scam. To be on the safe side I'm isolating for today and getting a home test organised for tomorrow, I'm also contacting the local tourist police and airport and airline to be on the safe side, will let you kno...

Re: Traveling in Times of Coronavirus
[/quote] Very useful write up of your journey's return back to your family. I suppose if the Thai-Cambodian land border was officially open to foreigners it would have made an easier last leg of your trip from Bangkok to Koh Kong, was their no possibility of this? I have heard with the countries inv...
