Re: Is Cambodia really TEFL Heaven

Manage classroom conduct and foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment.

Inclusive? Inclusive of who? The whole classroom is full of Cambodians except for the Barang teacher.

Re: Is it feasible to take advantage of cheaper Orthodontics while I'm there teaching?

I've had great services at Roomchang dental on Street 184 in Phnom Penh. Nowhere near the cheapest in Cambodia but still a fraction of the cost back in the West. If anyone in Cambodia is doing braces, it would be them.

Re: Khmer foreigner rating system — it's riel

I don't like America or Americans.

I witnessed an English guy with a dog come very close to getting a steak knife in his throat in a pizza place in BKK1 a few months ago after walking in and spewing this exact same kind of hate speech.

Re: How would you invest?

No, I don't trust Cambodian bank with my money for a five year period. I am reluctant for one year, but at least then I have the chance to make another assessment each year. Plus, one of the major reasons to keep your term deposits at one year is the fact that Cambodian banks or MDIs don't compound ...

Re: Absinthe

There used to be a bar in PP that was called Absinthe-something, carried all kinds of them and also had the traditional absinthe fountain. Though I imagine they had to import their inventory on their own.

It was on Street 51 near 174 for several years.

Re: Man Gets Major Shock in Phnom Penh's Busy Nightlife Area (Loco Bar on Street 130) in Electrical Accident

I'd like to think that youngwill100 has the sense not to let a random bargirl's brother do amateur electrical work at his bars.

I think this may have been the former Barang owner of Ponytails that had the fall.
