Re: Whatzup - Breaking Cambodia Covid News on Outbreaks and Lockdowns - NB News Items Only (no general discussion)

Is there a government tally somewhere of the % of the population which has been inoculated? Must be around 5-10% by now. They've received around 4M doses, correct? I think the only thing that can stop this now is mass inoculation, which wouldn't necessarily reduce transmissions, but the rate of hos...

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

Is it just me or does anyone else find the number of cases and deaths allegedly from covid, not that disturbing. In a population of 16 million people 90 have died. The cases numbers are really referring to positive tests. Are there that many seriously ill people here? I dont think so. Does anyone k...

Re: Curfew News and Updates

Big uptick in cases outside PP today. Seems the chances of this mess stopping by contact tracing of any way is out of the window. Also the new rapid tests currently used for my understanding are much less precise that the previous method leaving the possibility of false negatives for those just rec...

Re: Information on Coronavirus in Cambodia from 8 March 2020 (Latest Updates)

The Khmer Times are reporting 800+ will be announced today. They reported yesterday that Neth Okhna Kith Meng made yet another donation to help. What a truly community minded tycoon he is. Amazing. Today the Khmer Times described the February 20th event as "outrageous". I suspect this was ...

Re: Anyone stuck in a RED ZONE

A few days ago, I printed out a copy of the city Sangkats and intended to note the zones. I didn't foresee for my daughter to get her crayons out and colour it in.
Now the map seems to have disappeared, possibly mislaid when I went over to City Hall chasing up my resident's card.

Re: Information on Coronavirus in Cambodia from 8 March 2020 (Latest Updates)

Looking at the absolutely apocalyptic scenes from India, I'm all for an extension. I know it was largely bought about by the massive religious gatherings but still... Watching scenes of the makeshift funeral pyres in pop-up cemeteries with bodies coming in every few seconds is a bit like that scene...

Re: Following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak - News and Discussion

Brains much smarter than mine have made these decisions on lockdowns, close markets, deny the population access to food, except for the ruling class , and change their minds and orders again and again without considering consequences for the people who have been deprived of any income. Smarter and ...
