Re: Am I being too suspicious? (Yes, clickbait)

I once strung one of these scams on for weeks, eventually talked him into giving me his phone number. I called him at 3 in the morning his time and blasted him with an airhorn. It was worth the £1.68 phone call to hear his sleepy voice try and carry on the scam. Toot toot! Now THAT would be satisfy...

Best bet is to create a new thread complaining about negative karma givers.
Use allegory, posters around here like that sort of thing.

Re: Computer and Voltage issues help

Everything uses some power, but the UPS is basically the same as a lap top power supply - a voltage regulator with an overload cut out and a battery. The bigger the UPS, the bigger the cost in running it. But you would be hard pushed to need 4kw for a UPS unless you're mining bitcoins or something....

Bars in SEA are more like small clubs for fat crusty Brits.
most of the fat crusty blokes are fucking bogans
Isn't that a bit gay? Have the bogans been asked if they'd like a cup of tea?

Re: Where can I buy a new sporran?

I'm sure somewhere out there, there'll be a row of 10 or 12 sporran shops all together. Or maybe not. Seems perfectly reasonable - that would make a great series of hand-drawn posters. A dozen sporran shops. Half a dozen llama outlets. Three shops that only sell Gouda. either that or one stall at O...

Re: Computer and Voltage issues help

Both, iirc the digital one's are a bit better. Average consumption is anything from a third more to double  1200r average renters rate becomes 2400r. Well that sucks. Now googling to see if UPS do the same/similar... Everything uses some power, but the UPS is basically the same as a lap top ...

Re: Am I being too suspicious? (Yes, clickbait)

if he was up front that he was a Nigerian scammer, id of followed up with his offer and taken the money and split, but the fact that he lied at the start means our trust is broken Yeah, it's so hard to build trust when they won't be honest about the small things. My friend Prince Maffasa on the oth...

Re: Computer and Voltage issues help

BTW, those voltage regulators cost a fortune in electric unless you run them at full load. The big inline ones or the small boxes? Both, iirc the digital one's are a bit better. Average consumption is anything from a third more to double  1200r average renters rate becomes 2400r. Well that s...

Re: Am I being too suspicious? (Yes, clickbait)

I'm not sure if I'm being unnecessarily suspicious, but I'm starting to think this kid's not actually a monkling. And not actually Cambodian, and not actually in Thailand. Play him. :whip: Sadly, he's not been back since my 75/25 question. I also like playing with the scammers that offer exotic par...
