why bother, I drive my moto at nite w/o license Because if you happen to be pulled over for no driving licence the fine is now $175. Also insurance won't pay out on any claims if driving without a valid DL...but I suppose if one is driving around without a license, they probably don't have insuranc...

I do mind because it's not an official fee and I'm pretty sure the money is split between the village chief, the head of the Sangkat and the staff of the land management office and it's not used towards further registration of land titles around Cambodia. Anyway, I refused to pay up for over a year...

When applying for a Visa you want to do everything possible to ensure that the application is successful, don't leave anything to chance...go and get an official signed and stamped statement from the bank, they are used to providing these for Visa applications.

I much prefer the old moto-pulled trailer style tuk-tuks over these Indian style ones, but the Indian style ones are so much cheaper via the apps, even though most of the apps offer the old style tuk-tuks they are rarely available.

No one knows, decisions like these are often announced with effect immediately, late at night on a Saturday, but usually take a couple weeks to filter out to the airlines.

Quarantine period for unvaxxed is only 7 days now.

@Bitte_Kein_Lexus, the MoH were discussing setting a maximum timeframe since last dose, but nothing has been implemented yet, I know people who have arrived who's 2nd dose was over a year ago, no issues whatsoever.

Cambodia does not yet recognise COVID-19 Recovery Certificates...if you aren't fully vaccinated you are still required to undergo the mandatory 14 days quarantine.

@Kenr, your EOS will be valid for 12 months from the date the Visa expires, giving you a total of 13 months.

You can then apply for your next EOS within 1 month of expiry, same as above applies.

Even ordinary puff pastry is very difficult to work with here unless you have a chilled room. Pies with shortcrust pastry can be okay too. Very difficult indeed, butter gets way too soft, I used to just make a rough puff due to that fact, but now I cheat and just buy the frozen puff pastry sheets.

@Doc67, yes, Visas issued in advance from a Cambodian Embassy/Consulate or on arrival are glued into your passport, but e-Visas are electronic and are not attached to your passport.

You need a minimum of 2 blank VISA pages when you apply for a Visa Extension of Stay.

@daeum_tnaot you can't buy it at the airport, you can jump online and purchase it while at the airport. Any insurance that covers you for Thailand, COVID and minimum $50,000 is acceptable ie.World Nomads, etc.

Can someone tell me where can I extend tourist visa for another month without using an agent? where should I go? You can apply directly at the DoI Visa Office in Pochentong for the official $30 fee, but it will also involve 2x return journeys out there so it will be less hassle to just use an agent.

Correct, the DoI have put a stop to conversions for anyone who enters Cambodia on a T-type (Tourist) Visa or e-Visa (electronic online Tourist Visa) from 1st March. New Zealand has been for at least 10 years, possibly longer. Bloody simple, and quick, courier straight to my front gate, standard processing time has never taken more than 30 days, urgent processing took 4 days to arrive.

Please use a reputable real estate agent or lawyer to advise and assist you with this...especially if you are a foreigner, as foreigners aren't legally permitted to purchase or own land so there are additional steps to be taken.

Uncle-V The insurance needs to be minimum USD$50,000, must cover you for COVID-19, and must cover you for Thailand. I just used a cheap policy from World Nomads which was sufficient. and how do they check that you follow the rules for quarantine at home/hotel? They expect people to be responsible and follow the rules, but we all saw how that went back in 2020 when people were caught out partying when they were supposed to be self-quarantining, which then ruined it for everyone ...

Pre-flight COVID test for transit via Singapore is still required...Both PCR and ART are acceptable for transit through Singapore, details of approved testing facilities here (page 7)

The MoH have not issued an updated guide, and this is what they are giving some travellers who tested positive on arrival, so safe to assume this is current....but TIC.

Just make small, credit card sized laminated copies... not worth the risk of losing or having your passport stolen.

Out of curiosity, when they do such a conversion, do they need to put two new stickers in your passport (an ordinary visa plus an extension of stay) or directly just the EoS? And somewhat related, how many free pages do they require nowadays to apply for an EoS? They are just putting the EOS sticke...

Still not an official policy, not all agents can do it, those who have a good relationship with their contacts in the DoI can...not cheap, it is purely a money making scheme for the DoI. The DoI need to either make it an official policy, or just say "no conversions" and reinstate VOA's...k...

SternAAlbifrons explained why airlines may insist on a return ticket, travellers can sometimes request to sign a waiver exonnerating the airline from being responsible for the repatriation costs if the traveller is denied entry on arrival, but sometimes it is just less hassle to get an onwardticket...
