Doing an iPGCE while based in Cambodia
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in doing an iPGCE while based in Cambodia. I have personally had very little teaching experience, 6 months or so volunteering in the countryside back in 2003, and about 8 months teaching English and History in Phnom Penh in 2005. Since that time ...

Re: Have you ever been called Ah?
My partner calls me 'ah k'jaa' or 'ah ta svet' when I am messing about, so I usually respond with 'taa mij me k'dit' or 'me a yas' not sure what the last one means, but the missus sure loves it :D The two phrases you wrote here are really offensive. I am surprise that your wife loves it....

Re: Guest or customer?
sorry if i went off on a tangent, i wrongly thought you were suggesting that people be treated as equal regardless of the accident of birth. Also i must state that i work in hospitality, so i generally meet people from all works of life, and i must confess that there have been times when i have thou...

Re: Guest or customer?
I get the concept of equality. Maybe I am a nationalist, never liked sinn fein, that could have been the bombs and shit, kinda tainted them for me. But I don't think somebody entering Ireland from aboard (outside Europe) should be given outright equality with a Irish national. If they have just arri...

Re: Guest or customer?
That appeared to be a well reasoned argument to me. I guess it wasn't though, but rather than just dismiss it as without any justification, can you tell me why it's BS, or give a counter argument as too why a non nationals criticisms should be viewed the same as a nationals.

But if you where to stay in a hotel and every time you come back at night, the guard wont open the door for you unless you pay...

Re: Best Indie films
I use private torrent sites for my movies, for indie/foreign/b movies i like: 1)Karagarga https://karagarga.net Karagarga is a tracker for old/classic and rare movies. Their content is coming from various countries, like movies from France, movies from Germany and so on. They have some movies that c...
