Indeed the total fill tonnage for this project can be seen by the large tracts of hills being deforested and carved out in many places just north of Damnak Chang'aeur over the railway line but before the Kampot/Kep province boundary.

As of this morning land reclamation has been completed up to the Crab Market with no less than 200 forty-ton trucks and 10 bulldozers. One may ask how coastal resorts and other landowners affected by this project are compensated for the loss of the waterfront.
