Re: The Kep Revival

Most of the big old trees lining the 'old' Kep beach have been trimmed or cut down to make way for an unshaded sidewalk upgrade and uninterrupted views of a beachfront resort development.

Re: International Covid - 19 Vaccination Certificate

I was able to obtain via MOH website page (https://search.vaccine.gov.kh/) and Telegram the elusive International Covid19 Vaccination Certificate. Note that the full description of the vaccine appears on the certificate (but not on the vaccination card nor the MOH website) [ https://i.imgur.com/HtWx...

Re: International Covid - 19 Vaccination Certificate

I have been trying to obtain the "International Vaccination Certificate" from the (Cambodian) Ministry of Health for some time now without much success. In addition my (Cambodian) blue vaccination card mentions 2 shots of Sinopharm, 1 shot of Sinovac. Australia (ABF,TGA) will not accept Si...

RDIC (https://rdic.org/water-quality-testing/) in Phnom Penh should be able to do the testing you require.

@phuketrichard "this guy has great property and now has an additional 100 meters out into the sea to landscape"...
apparently waterfront landowners are given first option to buy the reclaimed land in front of their property, after that the reclaimed land can be sold to the highest bidder.

@ phuketrichard

200 trucks on the job means about 1600 truckloads per day (200 per hour) if the round trip takes 1 hour.

Re: The Kep Revival

@ phuketrichard Sorry 200 trucks on the job daily is what was meant. Indeed the total fill tonnage for this project can be seen by the large tracts of hills being deforested and carved out in many places just north of Damnak Chang'aeur over the railway line but before the Kampot/Kep province boundary.

Re: The Kep Revival

As of this morning land reclamation has been completed up to the Crab Market with no less than 200 forty-ton trucks and 10 bulldozers. One may ask how coastal resorts and other landowners affected by this project are compensated for the loss of the waterfront.

Re: Aussies attempting to fly out of Cambodia

... with all due respect, why have so many left it so late to try to return? It seems a lot of westerners have left this, and not just in Cambodia, until the very last minute when it seemed clear the signs were to get out in early March and are now placing responsibility on Embassies. Okay, so W.H....
