Re: Accommodation Recommendation

OK, thanks for all the feedback. I've booked the 'Large King room with private balcony' at Sundance and shall be cancelling my WA reservation. While acknowledging that my trip is still several months away, as a way of paying back I hope to submit a halfway decent review with piccies when I get there...

Re: Accommodation Recommendation

Pardon me, but isn't the Walkabout hotel side a noted shithole now. I don't think they've renovated anything in years. All you have to do is look around the bar in daylight. Better seen at night through beer goggles. However, behind it on 174 is Blue Tongue, a very nice set of rooms. (No smoking th...

Accommodation Recommendation

Greetings So I’m in PP for 6 nights early January. This will be my 5th trip since ’05. I've stayed at a number of places in the past, including last trip at Walkabout. Prior to that I'd been travelling with my SO and so had stayed at more ‘family friendly’ establishments. I'm booked back at Walkabou...

Re: How much money is "enough" money?

Yep, agreed, which is why I mentioned 'a bit more risk than I would be comfortable with'. VisionFund offer 11% pa on Riel and 7% on USD$ for 5 years; http://www.visionfund.com.kh/savings But, like you said, I wouldn't be happy that I could trust them enough to invest heavily with them. Another thing...

Re: How much money is

If I had $300,000 in the bank right now, I'd attempt retiring here this very instant! (Which is probably also the reason I DON'T have $300,000 in the bank right now....) Interesting. If you don't mind sharing, how do you arrive at this particular number? I recognise there are a multitude of individ...

Re: Introduce Yourself

But do carry on, what we're you saying before you dissed much of the CEO membership? D, at least give the "sarcastic bastard" a right of reply before moving this to the designated bucket. Shame - I was hoping for better, my optimism obviously got the better of me. I wasn't aware I was 'di...

Re: Introduce Yourself

I never got shit on Some of us didn't get 'shit on' nor have 'thin skin or delicate sensibilities'. Some of us just got our accounts deleted just because Adolf had a different opinion to ours. I suspect maybe a communication breakdown or a failure on my part to communicate effectively. When ...
