Re: Barcodes to be put on all vehicle licence plates

I'm curious about how this will be applied to all the SUVs and luxury vehicles that are beyond the law, and therefore don't have a license plate. I don't think it will be applied to anyone anytime soon. IMO, for the moment this is just a declaration of intention. You know how things work here. Just...

Clearly the KOW was inspired by CEO's karma system.
Let us know when you can give karma or licence points for good driving. :?

Re: Barcodes to be put on all vehicle licence plates

What I don't understand is that exactly which problem does the QR code solve? Why they cannot just input the license plate number to website and get the info, like it is done in most developed countries. Why they need the QR code? With QR code they still need some access to database and probably so...

Re: How do you respond when people tell you their financial problems?

We regularly have Khmer people tell us their financial problems, and I feel so uncomfortable each time it happens. Long-term friends, people we have just met, random strangers - they all want us to know their dramas. How do you deal with it when it happens to you? You probably do this anyway, but a...

Re: Two Cambodian Men and A Dutch Guy, Stefan Struik Arrested By Police For Involving in Physically Abuse A Boy

Curious, and this is genuine - is the onus on the westerner to report the crime greater than the onus on the Viet to not commit the crime? Both need to be flogged publicly and then handed to the village women, but I'm curious about this one. Why do you ask this ? The Vietnamese guy who committed th...

Re: English Teacher Needing Salary $300.00 And Food and Accommodation Provide

It was originally posted on an expats FB page I think, but since it says $300pm with preference for inhabitants of Kampong Speu with food included - tell your friends and relatives etc., it's a job for a local, or for a barang that wants to go native. You know, from time to time, someone appears her...

A genuine gyro is lamb. Lip smakin finger likin delecious in Greece.
But outside of Greece it may be chicken, pork, lamb or maybe woof woof or meow meow in Cambodia. :stir:
Woofwoof meat is probably more expensive than chicken or pork (in Cambodia). :snorting:

Yep. When the world markets go arse up, we'll be sitting pretty with our CSX since nobody else knows it exists. :beer1:
