Re: Place to get textbooks in Phnom Penh?

Thanks for the suggestions. The idea is that I wanted to at least flip through some books to compare options. I tried pirate bay but there were no results for 2 very popular books so I guess they don't have much educational material on there or I'm doing it wrong. I haven't used torrents since limew...

Place to get textbooks in Phnom Penh?

I am looking for a few textbooks for several subjects. Is there a place in town that might have a decent selection available? I'm looking for books that are used in the US or UK systems and mostly for primary or early secondary. Would really love to find used or second hand so they would not be expe...

Re: Ottawa Trucker Convoy Protest Vax Mandates

The difference between how the government reacted to two different protests is the point. BLM protests got promoted despite them being mass gatherings during the height of the pandemic hype. This article about the Super Bowl is a clear example of the government’s attempt to make these protests less ...

Re: Hate Crime Hoax: Jussie Smollett Found Guilty

It was very predictable that it was a hoax. The problem is that the media will many times never cover a story when it is revealed to be a hoax so many are unaware how frequently it happens. I followed quite a few high profile incidents that I thought were unlikely and every one of them turned out to...

Re: U.S. Hits Cambodia with Arms Embargo

The problem is the exports. Otherwise there would be no reason at all to care about the opinions of DC. If the US and Europe do nothing to affect products made in Cambodia being sold in their markets then they have no influence. If they decide to act more than symbolically then it would be a differe...

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

If everyone is vaccinated then the only mutations that will survive will be vaccine resistant. Viruses mutate rapidly. I would think vaccinated people would like to have some invaded around so there is at least a chance that their shot will protect them from a new mutation.

Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations

Any source that isn’t vetted and contextualized by the tight knit oligopoly that is the majority of US media should be viewed with suspicion of course. Only they have the ability to avoid being influenced by outside forces. For example they would never allow the nearly $7 billion in ad spending by p...

Re: Whatzup - Breaking Cambodia Covid News on Outbreaks and Lockdowns - NB News Items Only (no general discussion)

Asymptomatic spread is the reason why covid has been so difficult to contain from the beginning IMO. Sick people stay home or in the hospital. People who feel fine carry on their lives and give others no reason to be wary. Vaccines may offer clinical test results indicating a 50% reduction in spread...

Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations

In early 2020 there were quite a few articles written in major publications that suggested the natural course of a virus is to mutate towards being less deadly but more easily spread. Dead hosts are aren’t good for viruses to use to spread their genetic legacy. These articles are still up if you sea...

Scroll through this thread For a trip down memory lane on certain people’s views of the “Trump vaccine”. https://mobile.twitter.com/DrewHolden360/status/1325953672304611330 There’s plenty of other examples of complete reversals in “the science” as proclaimed by it’s high priests in media and politics.
