Re: Heat

Apparently it's the hottest it's been for 170 years, since records began! https://www.khmertimeskh.com/1480476/cambodia-facing-hottest-temperatures-for-170-years/ A quote from that article Cambodia’s highest ever recorded temperature was in 201 0 in Preah Vihear, when a temperature of 42.6 °C (108....

Just For info, Chocolate and prepared meats 48.5% and spirits 100.475% in total That's interesting. In Thailand the tax rate mist be 300% o...

Re: PP to DMK flights

I often use AirAsia to DMK, no problems and cheap with no checked luggage. If you need to sleep close to the airport for an early flight I've regularly stayed here https://www.donmuanghotel.com/ It's walkable from the airport (use the walkway bridge to the Amari) and sites like Expedia have it aroun...

Re: Cambodia: Asia’s New Fraud Capital

I am very dubious about claims of loss of large sums of money, often thousands of dollars, by anyone. Who carries such sums? They must be either very, very wealthy or very, very stupid! Regarding locals rather than foreigners, 10 years ago only about 10% of Cambodians had bank accounts. Large payme...
