Is buying a house probable
I've been in cambo working as a teacher for 3 years straight as of now. The salary was plenty for me to live on myself. I messed around and started a family here while I was at it. Now that I have to provide for a wife and kid as well, I'm less worried about the good ole drinking days and more worri...

Re: Budget life housing advice
Assuming you’re talking about Phnom Penh I’d say chances are small you will find a room with decent wifi allowing streaming video for that price. Maybe consider a temporary move to a provincial city? Yes I'm currently in Phnom Penh. Provinces are an option. I don't necessarily know how to go about ...

Budget life housing advice
For starters I'm not looking for any social pep talks. Actual advice would be preferred. Due to covid as well as my baby having heart surgery and followed by constant verbal altercations with my Khmer fiancee and her family behind lack of money from having my school place my job 'on hold', I've foun...

Re: This is America
Lmao. I was drunk when I made this post and completely forgot about it. Logged on today and after reading the half n half well articulated debate it reminded me of how little I respect being able to call USA my home. Definitely appreciate the hard reality/support from Oz and NZ that I got from the p...

Translation plz
I've been learning a decent amount of Khmer speaking. I know 0 when it comes to spelling so bare with me. The word sounds like 'co. - ick'. Generally used when someone is acting up or doing things their way instead of the way they were asked to do. I understand the way to use the word in a sentence ...

This is America
Random off the wall question. How much worse would things have to get in America for an American abroad to claim asylum in the EU? If they actually start a cival war, how would that affect citizens currently traveling?

Re: Visa and closed schools
WTF GMJS-CEO, do you have to delete soft sarcastic posts making a bit fun of you ? I know your post to the OP was a joke, and seeing that the guy took litterally your answer is just hilarious. No harm done, except shorting 4 identic threads out of 6. Why 5 ? not enough space on the internet ? Did y...

OTJ teaching degree?
A while back when schools were still active, a guy from Thailand came to teach at my school for a while. He claimed to have a teaching degree. I asked what college he went to, and he said he didn't go to college. He claimed that he taught at the same school in Thailand for 10 years and was granted a...
