Re: Couple of days by the sea

I will head down to Otres with my family for two nights this week. We are in the mood to see the ocean. I have not been for a long while, but a colleague was recently there and had only positive things to say. There seem to be some decent hotels too. I am going to risk it.

What are the actual requirements? I have lived here for more than ten years but am not a resident as such. Do I...

I watched it. It is actually fantastic (in my opinion). One of the best things I have watched in a long, long time.

Re: SEA Games 2023 - Schools to close

The school my kids go to isn't closing any of their locations, they confirmed this morning It's only a recommendation - no school is compelled to follow it This is simply not correct. There is no indication at this point that it's just a recommendation. It currently exists as a directive. Many scho...

Re: The Boo Man

This post intrigues me. I had a similar experience in 2019...perhaps early December? My wife and I were riding over to BKK...it was early evening, around 7pm I guess? We were actually heading to pick up food. We were also on Street 19, not far from the junction with 178, and I had slowed to a crawl ...

Re: uk passport for new born

I recently completed this process for my daughter's passport. I used the forms from the UK Gov website, and once I had everyting required, I made my appointment at VFS. We received the passport about a year after our initial application - the UK passport office made it clear that there were severe d...

This is awful news indeed...

Chez Gaston has been, by far, my favourite restaurant in Phnom Penh, and Bruno was a great character.

Re: Overstayed British Teacher to be Deported from Siem Reap

The teaching landscape in Cambodia has changed significantly over the last decade. There are fewer opportunities for backpackers to walk into teaching jobs these days. Many of the international schools only hire qualified educators. In fact, there are many excellent teachers working in Phnom Penh - ...
