Re: SMART - Mobile Data Mystery

Could be a multitude of things then, Google drive, auto sync, app updates, apps running in background without user bothering to close after use Smart aren't robbing your credit anyhow, that's for sure Smart will certainly be following the letter of their rules, they have a German CEO after all, but...

Re: Where does the govt draw the line on speech?

Everyone here is sure to have a different perspective or agenda about this. The people who say "we are all guests" should get back to their beer and shut up. Parents have good reason to speak up, probably anonymously, or from a safe distance. Ten years ago, even five, Cambodia looked like ...

Re: Smart@Home in the provinces?

The router they provide is just 4G, so maybe they just have a separate back-end network for this service, and the SIM can only log-in to this network. The "Fair-Use Policy" of 250GB/month would cover my usage, which is mainly Netflix, YouTube, and Facebook movies. The regular phone plans ...

Re: Smart@Home in the provinces?

Good idea, I will check phone speeds, but it only has to be fast enough for youtube or netflix on laptops. I didn't check phone plans as I assumed video would quickly blow through the megabytes.

Re: Smart@Home in the provinces?

Thanks, my signal is fairly good, and in theory it should work, technically, but I wonder whether the service itself is active everywhere, or if they only turn the feature on in certain cells. The question I should have asked is, what is the best unlimited internet option far out in the countryside,...

Smart@Home in the provinces?

Has anyone tried using Smart@Home out in the provinces, where there is no official service?

I assume the router is just a 4G router, so in theory it could work wherever there is signal.

Oh no, I shop there! I'm not so worried about catching the virus, as getting quarantined, just for shopping.
