Re: Foreigners in Cambodia Allowed to Work Freely
Curious what it means to be able to work freely. No work permit required? Would a new visa type be introduced? Or they just plan to rubber stamp all work pernit applications?

Re: Visa Req - Landcrossing to Vietnam
Crossed last night, all very smoothly. Bus company collected the passports before we left. They gave them back to us at Cambodian immigration so we could exit, then collected them after. At VN immigration, they handed them in en-mass and immigration handed them back to us 1 by 1 before we boarded th...

Re: Visa Req - Landcrossing to Vietnam
I will probably have the definitive answer by tomorrow.
Appreciate the advice, I was worried because I could not find anywhere that says you 'can'. Only lists of other things you can't.

Visa Req - Landcrossing to Vietnam
Unforrunately I need to attend a funeral in HCMC tomorrow. I wanted to take the bus across the border and hold a UK passport (which allows entry to Vietnam for up to 15 days each 30 days. Its not a VOA, which I know are not issued at the land borders. Does anyone know if I'll be able to cross at the...

Re: Hiring young Cambodian graduates and training them - a feasibility study
Is the business training new graduates or are you recruiting / training staff for your existing business? What you described having done so far was a bit lengthy and required a fairly big investment of your own time. Would you be able to scale this? There is a startup in Singapore who is taking a si...

Re: WING Money Account - good Idea?
I've recently found the fees for bank transfer can be quite variable. If I pay the fees for the transfer directly, ABA charges me usd$45. If I choose the fees to be deducted from the funds transferred (I am transfering money to myself) then they total $15 from intermediary bank and $7.50 from bene b...

Re: Hiring young Cambodian graduates and training them - a feasibility study
In an ideal world, I would like to hire young computer programming graduates, and train them and pay them less than they would cost in Thailand, and help them get certiificates in lieu of pay, rather than throw too much money at people who haven't proved themselves yet. This may be 1 area where you...

Re: E-Visa in Bangkok impossible
I used grab first time I arrived via the airport wifi.
But yes, its likely slightly more convenient to just flag a taxi. But if your worried about cost, grab is a close second.

Re: E-Visa in Bangkok impossible
For the visa, just fill out the form and say business for purpose. No communication required. Just cash. To get downtown, easiest way is to walk out to the street and take the city bus. There's only 1 bus so you can't get it wrong. Bus stop is just outside the airport on the street a few dozen mete...
