Re: Consent to take child back home

Thanks for your help guys. I'm probably overthinking it. My daughter has fair skin and brown hair like me and generally resembles me in appearance, but luckily has her mother's good looks. I travelled with my young son thru Bali, Malaysia and Thailand back in the 80's without a second glance, but I ...

Re: Consent to take child back home

My daughter wants to come to NZ, so I'm going to Cambodia to take her back with me early next year. Her mother will be happy to write a letter of permission. Does the permission letter need to be written in English or Cambodia (or both) and witnessed by a public official or lawyer? I have a copy of ...

Re: Places to walk a dog

Sorry for the bump but Odom Park next to Topaz Restaurant on Norodom opened this month and has a fenced area for dogs to run free and meet each other. Great place for kids too. Unfortunately it will close next April.

Re: Problem with landlord tampering with electrical meter

All's well that ends well! I paid a kings ransom of $19.80 for a month's electricity, and I told the guy I knew about the snipped security cables hehe. A new tamper proof meter was requested similar to my neighbours. A new invoice was promptly issued for the 66 Kw/hr units @ .30 + rent.

Re: Problem with landlord tampering with electrical meter

My rental month runs from the 11th of the month to the 11th of the following month. I didnt ask about an invoice until the 13th and was told I'd receive it the next day but they gave to me later that day. When i saw the made up numbers I showed the guy and he said problem with meter or computer as t...

Re: Problem with landlord tampering with electrical meter

I have only been in the house for about 3 months, and I have a deposit of $760 riding on this. So I don't want to walk out on that, but I also don't want to get screwed , even for $40. The landlady is away until later today, and it is her fixer (maybe a nephew) that has done this; she doesn't know a...

Problem with landlord tampering with electrical meter

This month as I'm on 50% pay, I decide to go without the aircon. The meter outside in the hallway at the start of the month was 6412. At the end of the month the meter read 6478. The landlord said the reading was too low and that the meter must be broken, and he will get it replaced. I had taken sev...

Re: UK News, Updates and Discussion

An interesting piece on the demonstrations in the UK. When a black police officer shot and killed an unarmed white Australian women in Minneapolis last year it was hardly in the news ? https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/06/03/please-dont-import-the-us-culture-war-to-britain/?fbclid=IwAR2ZjG6A9SdOBY...
