Chantra computer in TTP has a bunch. Bought a Transcend 1TB (not a SSD) for $58, works fine. Have also bought quite a few bits from them such as SD cards, power cables, USB cables, ethernet cables, etc.

I know DRLs are compulsory in Canada but I thought the U.S. didn't require them. Daytime running lights have been the law in Canada for the past 30 year...

Re: Moving to PP, need estimates on cost of living.

Forgive me, it slipped my mind that there's a family of 5 of us to look after in a 3 story house. Sorry, a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment is probably right for $150. For what it's worth, she comes and cleans every morning from 7 - 10 or 11 including sweeping the courtyard and watering the plants with the ...

Re: Moving to PP, need estimates on cost of living.

Maids worth their weight will probably cost a bit more than $150 a month. We pay our custodian $200 for half of the day to keep our place clean and she doesn't even cook. She is reliable and a good worker though, and that's why we pay her what we do.

Re: Suggestions on Salary

This is just my view, but I've been in Phnom Penh for work for about a decade and make right around what you're being offered (slightly less as I am on partial commission), but I'm ready to call it quits and move. I've put my notice in at my company I've been at since 2010 and am leaving because I'm...

Re: Am I the crazy one?.... Property Tax

As a foreigner I think we're held to a different standard, although I don't think there is an immediate risk of losing your home. Maybe get greased for more money but that's it. That being said, I'm current on all my property taxes here as I don't want to risk anything, and want to do my best to obe...

Re: Hiring Delivery Driver?

None of our drivers have been over 30, and none have had any mechanical experience either.

Thank you for the advice and I'll pass it on to the hiring manager, seems how we're now in need of a new driver.

Re: Aircon remote sensor repair?

if it's the same kind of IR sensor as in TVs then all the TV repair places on St 107 by Orussey would have a spare one. Sorry it's a bit late now I guess. Cheers for that, I doubt I'll have time in the near future to run down and find out, but I'll keep it in mind. We still have the old unit sittin...
