Does anyone use small generators for backup power, say for a laptop and one lamp? How much can one be expected to pay for that? Which internet service in Siem Reap is unlikely to be interrupted by the power curs? Thanks!

Well, the news of annual power cuts is shocking news to me as I was planning to move to Siem Reap for retirement. I teach online part-time, which means Cambodia is a no-no for me...disappointing!
