Re: Moving from Thailand to Cambodia
I've lived and worked in Thailand for 10 years but recently I've become so tired of their pretentious culture and the swathes of know-it-all expats and posers. Has anyone ever been in this position and decided to move to Cambodia? How did it go? I've visited Phnom Penh regularly since probably 2018...

Re: Tourist Traps
Tricky question. Almost everything in Kampot feels like a tourist trap. 555 - I was earlier thinking about posting similar sentiments with regard to Kampot. :D 7/11 is good though, never fucks you over with the prices. However, I can't agree about 7-11. Sure the prices are fixed, but as it's not lo...

As they say, "location, location, location"... Cambodia is in the tropics, which "...receive sunlight that is more direct than the rest of Earth and are generally hotter and wetter as they aren't affected as much by the solar seasons." https://cdn.britannica.com/40/89940-050-37DF...

Re: Why do Western women visit Cambodia?
Apparently, western women are very much into the countryside, so they probably come to enjoy Cambodia's less developed areas. https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/girl-gun-western-style-18780377.jpg https://cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbseg/1704/1704701-bigthumbnail.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/originals/cc/ca...

Re: Old Swiss francs exchange in Phnom Penh
At that exchange rate I would also have gladly bought the francs from you. Pity you didn't ask here in the forum.. Yes, I was perhaps too hasty, but the amount wasn't large (CHF 240) and my time in Phnom Penh is limited, so I jumped at the chance to get rid of them and mark it off on my to-do list....

Re: Old Swiss francs exchange in Phnom Penh
Well, immediately after posting this, I went to Pun Leu photo studio to get some passport photos. It's on St. 182 around the corner from Lucky Lucky in the block before the Capitol Guesthouse. As I waiting for the photos, I decided to head across the street and pick up some hydrogen peroxide at the ...

Old Swiss francs exchange in Phnom Penh
I saw it mentioned somewhere on this forum a while back that there are a couple currency exchanges in PP that will exchange old series Swiss francs but cannot find it now.
Does anyone have any leads on their location.
Any help appreciated. Cheers

Re: What Do We Mean When We Talk About Southeast Asia’s Demographics ‘Crisis’?
This is one possible solution, although an age of 64, as a nod to the Beatles, might be better: "Logan's Run is a science fiction novel by American writers William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Published in 1967, the novel depicts a dystopic Malthusian future society in which both popula...
