Re: 2 Foreigners Arrested in 1.5 Kilo Cocaine Bust at Phnom Penh Airport

I like those shows where they bust carriers. Yeah, lots of those and old episodes still on Youtube: border security; to catch a smuggler; real responders and many more. You would expect smugglers to watch these as well to improve their MO. Like that guy this week in PNH with the meth packages taped...

Re: Going to Viet Nam with Cambodian registered motorbike

It's hit and miss - I know ppl who have been able to go to Phu Quoc but at Ha Tien they are told they have to stay in that province only. Now reports are that it is near impossible to do - some have paid coffee money but had no intention of going far into the country. Also the risk is being stopped...

Re: Commision for 1$ Cambodian beer ring pull ?

At risk of stating something obvious (although not mentioned in this thread) it is not necessary to trade Cambodia free beer ring pulls for another beer. I have traded for mixed cases with softdrinks, Carabao etc. as well, so these are probably as expensive - or cheaper - for the merchant.

Re: putin interview

Although I do consider Tucker Carlson a <insert expletive> I always wondered whether the background of the conflict was also at least tangentially related to the fact that every Russian knows the myhths and is proud of their folk-hero and most famous of the three bogatyr Ilya Moromets, set in times ...

Re: Drive times and Prices: PP - Ha Tien Border.

As you wont be in a tour or have a hotel limo waiting then you have another sunny walk down the pier about 400m. There will be taxis there - show them where your hotel is on google maps - I have it ready on my phone. Again just wave 200k at them and be firm - thats about the right price to the Duon...

Re: All Things Aviation

Not sure if on topic, but "One More Shot" released last month is almost completely filmed on an airport (London Stansted), as well as (seemingly) in just one long camera shot:

Re: Koh Rong int’l airport construction begins

Both Koh Rong islands have seen massive development since I first went in 2014 & so happy to have seen them then (like going to Ko Phi Phi in Thailand in the 1980/1990's I guess) Do any of the old-timers think massive development & increased tourists numbers by 1000's of % has improved anyw...

Re: Your Mother's Tattoos

The Guardian published an article about tattooed ladies from history a few weeks ago. Tattoo afficionados (and others) might enjoy it, some good pics: "Shock of the old: 10 trailblazing and transgressive tattooed ladies" https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2024/jan/10/shock-of-the-old...
