Brody! "......hopefully at the conclusion of this we'll have a net positive and come out the other end as a better and more competent global society in the face of great challenges."

Sure. Just so long as you don't call it the 'New Normal'.

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

So, as of midnight last night 21/22 May, things are almost back to normal in 'Yellow Zones' - no curfews, purchase of alcohol permitted, inside-dining in restaurants & cafes. This is an interesting section of the report in this morning's Phnom Penh Post: "Businesses including cafes, restaur...

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

It's reported today that 80% of the populations of 'Red Zones' have been vaccinated. Has anyone any idea with which chemical concoctions they've been 'jabbed'? And does anyone know, if vaccinations are mandated for all denizens of 'Orange Zones' - and lastly 'Yellow Zones' (a huge undertaking) - if ...

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

Meanwhile, following the Gov't recent removal of quarantine requirements on internal air travel (i.e. PP to SV, PP to SR and vice versa) does anyone have any info/thoughts on the likelihood of the removal of the 14-day quarantine requirements on all in-bound air passengers from the RoW in the near f...

Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)

120 deaths since 20 Feb starting to get worried Can I assume you're joking? UN 2018 figures indicate a 'normal' (pre-Covid) death rate of 6 per 1,000 of total population. That extrapolates to around 100,000 'normal' deaths per year, or around 275 per day. 120 'Covid deaths' since 20 February is an ...

Another problem, tiny perhaps compared with a rapidly spreading virus. But the new 'no exercise' law means that dogs can't be taken out for walks etc; so they spend all day howling in their owners' apartments. Absolute hell if you happen to live next door to a couple.

Re: Information on Coronavirus in Cambodia from 8 March 2020 (Latest Updates)

There are so many inconsistencies in the translation of the document I've seen. e.g. you can apparently go outside for 'sporting activities' providing such activities involve no more than two people. Does this mean you can go out to exercise - and, if so, is that part of of your three ex-house trips...

"Phnom Penh is not a province."

Oh FGS! Stick to the point and stop your pedantry. "The capital Phnom Penh is not a province but an 'autonomous municipality', equivalent to a province governmentally and administered at the same level as the other 24 provinces."

Re: Information on Coronavirus in Cambodia from 8 March 2020 (Latest Updates)

So here's something new! The Government allows unrestricted travel between two provinces only, Phnom Penh and Kandal, treating it as one province, right? But now I know that people from Phnom Penh who arrive in a certain village (and possibly villages) in Kandal (perhaps to be with their families fo...
