Re: Old Buildings in Cambodia (or the lack thereof)

Re: El Salvador offers to house violent US criminals and deportees

I looked it up and the crackdown was in 2022. In my mind it felt like it was at least 5 years ago but yeah, the prisons are still full of domestic convicts.

Re: American man faces dilemma as Thai girlfriend’s parents demand 1 million baht dowry

The OP went from wanting to marry to wanting to bounce at the first speed bump his relationship hit. I'm glad he calmed down and learnt how to communicate with his girl and her family. My advice: Take a few years to get to know someone, their family and their culture before you marry them.

Re: CMAC's Mine Clearance Efforts in Cambodia Stopped Amid U.S. Aid Freeze

Re: Why is washing clothes a washout for me?

@David Gordon I have a clothes rail on my balcony and hang my laundry on hangers and then transfer it directly to my wardrobe when it's dry. No need to fold anything.

Re: Second worst air quality in the world this morning.

Is the dry season still considered to be the best time to be in the country? I'd recommend early and mid rainy season over this since there's not much flooding before September.

Re: Moving to Cambodia - are my plans reasonable?

Also a trip home can take up half your annual income when you need to pay for 4 seats, trains and taxis. 1 night in a big city hotel costs as much as a month's rent in Kampot. Visas and passports are pricey, too. ______________________ How comfortable are you with Cambodia's healthcare? You mentione...
