Re: Can most/all Cambodians read a clock a.k.a tell time?

One of the big problems in Cambodia is that many people don't care. You can even explain to them how things can be better. They don't care, and see no reason to do things better. And you have all the answers right? So here we go again with you disparaging khmers coz they are small brains that don't...

Re: Smoking

I think banning anyone born after say 2005 from smoking might have some merit though. That would be a good idea in countries where there is rule of law. Anyone born after 2005 is never allowed to smoke. In 80 years time, there will be no smoking. In Cambodia, they don't seriously enforce the law. S...

Re: What's the going rate for a Painter

Most painters would be construction workers, that also do other construction jobs. Cambodian bosses pay those with just basic skills, $5 per day. Those with quite a good knowledge of their job might get up to $10 per day. If you just employ individuals, there will be many who will tell you they are ...

Re: Smoking

Let's ban smoking, and make us all continue to breathe the smoke from burning plastic and other rubbish.

If they are serious, they have to stop people burning plastic.

Re: NZ, Australia - into winter with Cv-19

Just one last question, do you always have to have the last word? I think if you read many of my other posts, you will know the answer to that. Sometimes people try to make constructive suggestions, but the other person can take it that you are trying to put them down. How do you get them to unders...

Re: Can most/all Cambodians read a clock a.k.a tell time?

Most Cambodians can tell the time. However, in Khmer, when you ask the time, you say, 'how many hours already.' Many will tell you the correct time, but some people from the more rural areas will only tell you how many hours. So if it is 3:46, some people will say it is 3. So it can be later than yo...

There is one forum owner, he is the Administrator. And there are 3 (three) Moderators. Unlike yourself, none of us are online 24/7, however, we try very hard to have one of us (voluntary) moderators online at most times. Moderators have lives outside of the forum. We also have families, jobs, and o...

I agree. But cyclones do not occur all of the time. Cyclists could stay put in a town until the cyclone passes. There are normally emergency centers where they can stay.

Re: NZ, Australia - into winter with Cv-19

conspiracy agendas I think a lot of people would agree with some people you claim had conspiracy agendas. They might disagree with some others. It would be necessary to look at each on an individual basis. The key is to let people who genuinely have a different opinion to you, express their opinion...
