I have a valid US driver's license and International Driving Permit. Will I have any trouble with Sihanoukville police on a XR250?

I've been reading hotel reviews for Sihanoukville on Agoda, and the reviewers have all remarked that the beach is a slimy mess of garbage and that the Chinese have taken over. Is it even worth visiting?

I always travel Cambodia by off-road motorcycle, which isn't safe in and of itself. I expect I'll have to pay the Golden Lions Circle bribe a few times down in Sihanoukville per usual. But just so long as I can avoid additional entanglements. thanks!

I'm an American citizen planning to travel to Cambodia in April and I'm concerned that the heightened anti-American rhetoric coming out of the Cambodian government might make my trip less safe. I could just as easily stay in Thailand. But I'd rather not boycott Cambodia unless my safety is at risk.

I'm curious whether the anit-american rhetoric by the government will negatively effect attitudes against westerners. That'd to say, is it still safe for me to travel to Cambodia? I'm planning to visit the Kingdom in April.
